Infants Teacher Assistant

As a Teacher Assistant at Explorer Learning Academy, you are more than support — you are part of a purpose. Under the guidance of the Lead Teacher, you will assist in implementing a culturally responsive, play-based curriculum that fosters curiosity, identity development, and joyful learning for all children.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Step 7 or higher in the Oregon Registry Online (ORO) system
Proficient with technology, including classroom documentation platforms such as Kaymbu or ProCare
Able to pass a Child Care Background Check and be enrolled in the Child Care Background Registry (CBR)
Positive energy, high motivation, and a growth mindset — someone who shows up with heart and hustle
Preference is given to those who are pursuing or already hold coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education, though we are willing to train the right candidate
Strong communication skills and an openness to feedback, reflection, and continuous learning
Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $21–$23 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Paid Vacation: One week after one year of employment
